As the latest milestone in UF’s push to build the country’s first artificial intelligence university, the UF community is celebrating and learning about all things AI during the month of October.

Take an inside look at this process of how the marching band takes the field and is preparing for its overseas performances.

The University of Florida Homecoming & Gator Growl will take place Friday at the Exactech Arena Stephen C. O’Connell Center with doors opening at 6 p.m. Flo Rida will headline this year’s Gator Growl with Danny Wuerffel hosting.

UF's College of Design, Construction and Planning will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the 50,000-square foot Bruno E. and Maritza F. Ramos Collaboratory on Thursday, Oct. 6, at noon. The Ramos Collaboratory brings generational change to UF and will position the College, its faculty, staff and students for success over the next 100 years.

There are more than 6,000 students supported by the Disability Resource Center at UF, which will lead the celebration in October of Disability Employment Awareness Month and Disability Pride Month – which traditionally takes place in July but is being recognized now since students are back on campus.

Classes and all academic and student-related activities, including online classes, at the University of Florida campus in Gainesville will resume and campus will re-open and return to normal operating status on Saturday, Oct. 1.
