Flavors of Florida to Benefit UF Field and Fork Campus Food Program

WHO: University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences faculty, staff, administrators and friends of UF/IFAS.

WHAT: Join UF/IFAS scientists, administrators and friends of UF/IFAS for an evening of tasty treats at the sixth annual Flavors of Florida. Participants will sample delicious foods and beverages featuring emerging crops such as hops and the latest UF/IFAS-developed varieties of strawberries, blueberries and more, among other delectable delights. The foods showcase the best results of research in the breeding programs at UF/IFAS.

Proceeds from this UF/IFAS tradition will go to the UF Field and Fork Campus Food Program, which provides opportunities for collaboration and learning in sustainable agriculture and food systems. Also part of the field and fork program, the Alan and Cathy Hitchcock Field and Fork Pantry helps people in the campus community who lack sufficient access to affordable, nutritious food.
