As the Large Hadron Collider – the 17-mile-long particle accelerator in Switzerland – restarts after a two-year shutdown, a UF doctoral student working at the LHC shares a restart of his own.

After years of working as a mechanic in New York City, David Curry picked up a book that inspired him to go into physics. He's now at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, part of the UF team working to unravel the mysteries of the universe.
