ATHLETICS

The Florida Gators sports teams compete in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference and are supported by alligator mascots Albert and Alberta. UF student-athletes have earned a total of 167 academic All-America Honors since 1965. Since the 1972 Olympiad held in Munich, 239 Gators have participated in the Olympic Games. Gators have won 156 Olympic medals with 74 gold, 45 silver and 37 bronze medals.
