More than 11,000 graduates to celebrate UF's spring 2026 commencement

More than 11,000 students are expected to graduate from the University of Florida during spring commencement ceremonies held April 29 through May 4.

UF’s university-wide commencement ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. 

Chris Malachowsky, a cofounder of NVIDIA, UF alumnus and the namesake for Malachowsky Hall, will address graduates at the university-wide ceremony on Friday evening. 

Dr. Skip G.N. Garcia, a renowned pulmonary physician-scientist and pioneer of advanced therapies for lung disease, will speak to graduates at the Doctoral Commencement Ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 30 in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. 

The spring class reflects the university’s broad reach across Florida, the nation and the world. Graduates represent 49 states and 105 countries, spanning six continents.

The youngest graduate is 18, earning a Bachelor of Science in psychology, while the oldest graduate, 75, will receive a Master of Science in medical sciences.

The spring class also includes the first three graduates from the Hamilton School for Classical and Civic Education, marking a milestone for the university’s newest school. Founded in 2023, the UF Hamilton School advances research and teaching focused on the foundations of democratic citizenship and the great works of Western and American thought.
