From Policy to Practice: Shaping the Future of Health Care

The University of Florida Office of Public Policy Events, in partnership with the University of Florida College of Nursing, will host a panel discussion exploring how policy decisions are shaping the future of health care.
Titled From Policy to Practice: Shaping the Future of Health Care, the event is scheduled for Friday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Communicore Building C1-011 Lecture Hall. A reception will follow, allowing attendees to engage directly with panelists.
The 60-minute moderated discussion will examine how policies tied to workforce development, access to care, public health preparedness, technology and health equity are influencing the structure and delivery of care across the United States. The conversation is designed to help students and future health professionals better understand the policy landscape shaping their careers and patient care environments.
Moderated by Dr. Jacobi Bedenfield, panelists include: Bryce Catarelli, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNE, a clinical assistant professor in the College of Nursing; Laura Guyer, PhD, MEd, RDN, from Partnerships4Health and faculty emerita at the College of Medicine; and Staccie Allen, DNP, BSBA, APRN, EMT-P, AGACNP-BC, FNP-C, ENP-C, CFRN, from the ShandsCair Flight Program and eNPower Health.
