More than 4,100 students are expected to graduate from UF this fall during the course of four commencement ceremonies held in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center Dec. 15-16.
The first ceremony, celebrating 200 doctoral graduates, will be held Friday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.
Bachelor’s, master’s and specialist’s degree graduates for the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Public Health and Health Professions, and the College of Veterinary Medicine will begin their ceremony at 7 p.m. Dec. 15.
The bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist’s degrees commencement ceremony for the College of Journalism and Communications and the Warrington College of Business will be held at 9 a.m. on Dec. 16.
Bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist’s degree graduates for the College of Education and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will begin their ceremony at 2 p.m. on Dec. 16.
College of Agricultural and Life Sciences; College of the Arts; College of Design, Construction and Planning; College of Health and Human Performance and the College of Pharmacy bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist’s graduates will begin their ceremony at 7 p.m. on Dec. 16.
This fall’s graduates hail from six continents, representing 75 countries and 48 states.
NASA administrator and longtime U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, a leading advocate for space exploration, will address the 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 16.
UF Professor of Plant Pathology Natália Peres, who is pioneering the use of AI in strawberry plant disease detection and has dedicated her career to growing Florida’s strawberry industry, will speak at the doctoral commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. and the bachelor’s and master’s ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 and the 7 p.m. bachelor’s and master’s ceremony on Dec. 16.
