Celebrating Women’s History Month: A UF researcher alters the future of space exploration
University of Florida Research Professor Anna-Lisa Paul, Ph.D., always knew she wanted to be a scientist, but she never imagined she'd be the first woman to grow plants in lunar soil.
This work is a first step toward one day growing plants for food and oxygen on the moon or during space missions.
“All life on Earth, all life if we take it off Earth,” she said, “is going to be reliant on what plants can do for us.”
