WHO: UF President Kent Fuchs; family members of the integration pioneers: Virgil Hawkins, W. George Allen, George Starke and Stephan Mickle; Harley Herman, attorney and President of the Virgil Hawkins Historical Society; David Canton, director of UF’s African American Studies Program.
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 15. Event begins at 9 a.m.; media should plan to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to allow time for set-up.
