Career Showcase to bring more than 130 employers to UF virtually and in person

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida kicks off its biannual Career Showcase event next week, providing students ways to explore internships, part-time, full-time and Co-Op opportunities.

Intentionally designed with students in mind, Career Showcase is the Career Connections Center’s largest employment and internship fair, spanning four days of virtual and in-person networking with top employers from across the U.S.

Students from every major and college are welcome to attend. UF Alumni may also participate.

This year, the Career Connections Center is offering in-person and virtual appointments for attendees to connect with employers through the Career Fair Plus app. Attendees will need to download the app and create an account to schedule their appointments. Additional appointment times will be added closer to the event. Attendees are encouraged to check the app for more information.

More than 130 employers have already registered to recruit virtually at Career Showcase. Employers include Enterprise, Deloitte, Siemens, the Central Intelligence Agency, Aldi, Walgreens and many more.

“We know the pandemic has had a great impact on our students and our industry partners,” said Ja’Net Glover, senior director of the Career Connections Center. “By leveraging online tools, such as Career Fair Plus, the Career Connections Center continues to host career fairs to connect students with employers. This is a tremendous opportunity for UF students and alumni to engage with employers during these unprecedented times.”

In addition to the Career Showcase, the Career Connections Center will be hosting a virtual Diversity Meet-Up. Diversity Meet-Up helps students boost their confidence and their brand while learning about employers and their organizations. This event is open to students from diverse, underrepresented populations including veterans, LGBTQA+, students with disabilities, ethnic minorities, and women in STEM.
