Flavors of Florida, a University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences tradition, offers a bountiful benefit this year: Proceeds from the event will go to the UF Field and Fork Campus Food Program.
For years, black students at the University of Florida yearned for acceptance and inclusion from faculty and peers. Their demands for resources and representation in curriculum pertaining to ‘Black’ or ‘Afro-American’ Studies increased, and university administrators took note.
The challenges facing the natural world that sustains us are massive. So are the determination and ingenuity of University of Florida faculty, staff and students devoted to solving them.
UF recently ranked #3 among the 140 Peace Corps Prep certificate-issuing institutions in the nation, issuing 35 Peace Corps Prep certificates to the graduating class of 2020. There were 305 Gators enrolled in the Peace Corps Prep program during the 2019-20 academic year.
