University of Florida officials have unveiled plans for Innovation Square, a large scale research park that will aid in the development of high-tech companies.

People suffering from what’s called “dysphagia” have difficulty swallowing and may experience pain while eating or drinking. Patients with Parkinson’s disease often have dysphagia and now a new University of Florida study shows they can improve their swallowing with training.

An active ingredient found in some toothpaste, soaps, and even mouthwash can apparently disrupt a vital enzyme in pregnancy. Now a new University of Florida study shows the ingredient known as triclosan can interfere with estrogen metabolism in women.
