Healthy and green
Hudson Harr demonstrates how energy can be captured and added to the electrical power grid by exercising on an elliptical machine Wednesday outside Tigert Hall. By the power he generated, Harr was able to illuminate the lamp stand behind him.
Power is being generated in this manner at Gainesville Health and Fitness Center, and Harr was on campus to meet with decision makers about potentially bringing the machines to campus gyms. Harr represents ReRev, a company based in St. Petersburg, Fla.
