Library helps UF Education students gain real-world skills

A record nine interns from the University of Florida’s College of Education spent spring semester working in local libraries. Eight of the students interned at the Alachua County Library District’s Youth Services Department while three were at Littlewood, Waldo and Stephen Foster elementary school library media centers.

Employees’ money-saving efforts earn big awards for UF

Several University of Florida employees have been recognized in the 2007 Prudential Financial-Davis Productivity Award program for their efforts to save the university money. The annual awards honor government employees in Florida for innovation, creativity, and smart work that increases performance and productivity in delivering services and products.
