Shalesh Kaushal
Shalesh Kaushal, M.D., Ph.D., an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Florida, injected an anti-inflammatory compound into the eye of a volunteer with the wet form of macular degeneration. A research study to test the safety of the compound is being funded by Potentia Pharmaceuticals Inc., and is currently underway in Florida and three other states.
