Florida’s major metropolitan areas are slipping further behind in the race for high-speed Internet access, according to a new University of Florida ranking. Even when combined, the bandwidth availability in the Orlando, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa-St. Petersburg and Jacksonville areas doesn’t compete with the top five metropolitan areas in the study.
