The society’s inaugural conference, “Exploring Religion, Nature and Culture,” will include keynote and plenary speakers Carolyn Merchant, Stephen Kellert and Mark Bekoff, as well as more than 140 international scholars presenting their work. UF students and faculty, and members of the Gainesville community are welcome to attend the conference, most of which will be free.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Lawyer George Parnham, who is defending former Texas housewife Andrea Yates on charges she murdered her own children, will speak Wednesday at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.

WHAT: The 12th Annual Public Interest Environmental Conference, “In Fairness to Future Generations,” is the nation’s first conference combining humanities, law, policy, children and the environment.
