Research areas: Multimodal transportation safety, traffic crash data modeling and safety analyses, local road safety plans, traffic operations, design and simulation, advanced traffic signal timing, connected and automated vehicles, human factors, technology transfer
Agarwal has developed online training and certification courses on signal timing and signal systems that are utilized by several state agencies. He is a member of the TRB traffic signal systems committee and serves as chair of the signal timing manual subcommittee.

Elefteriadou is principal investigator of the U.S. Department of Transportation-funded Regional University Transportation Center for Region 4 (Southeast Transportation Research Innovation Development and Education), which focuses on traffic congestion mitigation.

Letter is manager of the I-STREET advanced technology testbed, working with the project’s principal investigators and industry partners to coordinate software, hardware, and application efforts to ensure consistency and interoperability of the various components.

Siva Srinivasan, associate professor, Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering, UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering
Research areas: Transportation safety, time use and travel behavior analysis, transportation demand forecasting and planning, impacts of technology, transportation and health
Srinivasan has published in major peer-reviewed journals and has authored research reports and publications in conference proceedings. He has been the lead PI or Co-PI on several research projects with a total budget of more than $2 million.

Scott Washburn, professor, Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering, UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering
Research areas: Traffic operations, traffic flow theory, quality and level of service, development and testing of simulation models, statistical and econometric methods
Washburn is involved with the Highway Capacity and Quality of Service Committee for the Transportation Research Board, particularly with the freeway/multilane highway, two-lane highway, simulation, performance measures and user liaison subcommittees. He has three years of professional consulting experience outside of academia and is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Washington state.
