UF dance performances centered on themes of sustaining ‘eARTh’

Florida Museum of Natural History displays local artist’s African-inspired work

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Museum of Natural History will display “Namibia: The Smile of Africa,” a collection of African-inspired works by Gainesville artist Mary Jane Volkmann now through Aug. 3. Itzhak Perlman concert postponed

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Itzhak Perlman concert, originally scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, has been postponed. An ongoing shoulder injury is precluding Perlman from performing. A new date has not yet been set.
