UF asks students to submit emergency information at registration

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Starting this fall, all University of Florida students will be asked to provide emergency contact information when they register for classes.

Dedication and open house to be held for Archer Family Health Care

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The UF College of Nursing will host a dedication, ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for Archer Family Health Care, a nurse-managed comprehensive health care center. The 2 p.m. event on Oct. 12 will be held at Archer Family Health Care, 16939 SW 134 Ave., Archer, Fla. Tours will follow the dedication and refreshments will be served. Community health nursing students will provide blood pressure screenings.

IT professionals encouraged to attend “Lunch and Learn” session on Oct. 16

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Plan now to attend a fun and informative “Lunch and Learn” session about IT security on Oct. 16. The two-hour roundtable discussion, hosted by UF IT experts John Sawyer and Jordan Weins, will offer the latest tools, ideas and guidelines in encryption.
