UF students, others asked to volunteer 100 million minutes

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida hopes a campaign to generate volunteerism this school year will result in 100 million minutes of community service by students and other area residents.

Professor leaving UF to become dean at Utah State

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Nat Frazer, professor and chairman of the wildlife ecology and conservation department at the University of Florida, will become dean of the College of Natural Resources at Utah State University in Logan, beginning Jan. 1, 2006.

Florida Museum hosts new John Moran photo exhibit

UF/IFAS students win fourth consecutive national quiz bowl

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — For the fourth consecutive year, a University of Florida team of students has won the annual North American Academic Quiz Bowl competition at the national meeting of the American Agricultural Economics Association.

UF endowment sees ‘healthy’ return for fiscal year

Paul A. Robell, the University of Florida’s vice president for development and alumni affairs, reported this week that the endowment returned a healthy 9.5 percent (net of investment management fees) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005.
