Continuity and Change: Three Generations of Ethiopian Artists closes April 29

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — On April 29, the Harn Museum of Art exhibition “Continuity and Change: Three Generations of Ethiopian Artists” will close. The exhibition marks the first featuring so many contemporary Ethiopian artists under one roof.

Open house marks reopening of Hub

Employees’ money-saving efforts earn big awards for UF

Several University of Florida employees have been recognized in the 2007 Prudential Financial-Davis Productivity Award program for their efforts to save the university money. The annual awards honor government employees in Florida for innovation, creativity, and smart work that increases performance and productivity in delivering services and products.

Harn Museum hosts Alachua County Student Art Exhibition

GAINESVILLE, Fla. –– Works of art by young artists from Alachua County public schools will be exhibited April 19 to May 12 in the Harn Museum of Art’s Chandler Auditorium. A reception honoring the talented students will be held at 7 p.m. April 26.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Education Recruitment Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 in the Grand Ballroom of the Reitz Student Union. Holocaust Remembrance Day activities set at Harn Museum

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Harn Museum of Art will pay tribute to Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 15 with a 2 p.m. docent tour focusing on “Creativity as Survival,” followed by a 3 p.m. lecture titled “Anne Frank’s Own True Heir” by University of Florida Assistant Professor Anastasia Ulanowicz.
