Lecture addresses ‘Romans and Natives in Ancient Sardinia’

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — “Romans and Natives in Ancient Sardinia” is the title of a lecture by Stephen Dyson, a professor at the State University of New York-Buffalo, at 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Keene Faculty Center, Dauer Hall. The talk is sponsored by the Gainesville Society of the Archaeological Institute of America and the Department of Classics and School of Art and Art History at the University of Florida.

18th annual Celebration of Wine benefits public radio

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida establishes center at UF to improve health of Florida’s citizens

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida has established a $3.5 million endowment at the University of Florida to open the BCBSF Center for Health Care Access, Patient Safety and Quality Outcomes. The new center will be housed in the colleges of Nursing and Public Health and Health Professions and will work to significantly improve the health of Florida’s citizens.
