A sampling of the outstanding students who are graduating from the University of Florida this weekend.
Warrington students share their business school goals and accomplishments
As students graduate this semester or prepare for graduation in future semesters, Warrington celebrated its students with a free T-shirt event in Emerson Courtyard. Students were prompted to share an accomplishment they’re proud of or a goal they plan to achieve before graduating.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Michael Caminero (BSBA ’18): “I ventured out of my comfort zone and interned abroad in China! Knowing nothing about the language, I just did it!”
- Spencer Dickens (MSM ’18): “Before I graduate, I will have accepted a full-time offer with Oracle.”
- Caylin Duffy (BSBA ’22): “Before I graduate, I hope to join FLA.”
- Theophilius Lassey (BSBA ’19/MIB ‘20): “One thing I am glad to have accomplished at Warrington is being able to serve as a mentor and resource to other students.”
- Jenny Martinez (BSBA ’18): “Before I graduate, I hope to have been an inspiring student leader.”
- Mary Anne O’Neill (BSBA ’18): “I am proud of my congressional internship in Washington D.C.!”
- Catherine Palmer (BSBA ’18): “Before I graduate, I will have accepted a full-time offer with Fortune 500 company, Harris Corporation!”
- Victoria Pinto (ISOM ‘18): “Before I graduate, I will have made a family at Warrington!”
- Connor Pleban (MAcc ’19): “Before I graduate, I will have passed the CPA Exam!”
- Darnadeeksan Srinivasan (ISOM ’18): “I’m proud to have learned and acquired tech skills although I had no prior knowledge or degree.”
- Lucy Zhang (ISOM PhD ’22): “Before I graduate, I hope to have at least two publications in top journals.”
First generation college student to speak at UF/IFAS CALS student recognition ceremony

Growing up, Christine Krebs enjoyed being in an academic environment. She looked forward to school and the excitement of learning new information. Knowing that no one in her family had attended college before, Krebs held the achievement of college graduation to be a personal goal of hers.
On Dec. 14, Krebs will deliver the student address at the UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) student recognition ceremony at 7:30 p.m. in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The ceremony is part of the University of Florida’s commencement weekend. A wildlife ecology and conservation major, Krebs will join nearly 400 CALS students who will be graduating with their bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

How lessons in communications, project management helped this Master of Science in Management student take her career to the next level

After graduating in 2015 from the University of Florida with my bachelor’s degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences, I began working for the University of Florida Office of Development at UF Health. As a development coordinator, I helped raise funds for cancer research, patient care and education. I loved my job, but I wanted to take my career to the next level.
After researching multiple programs, I found the Warrington College of Business Master of Science in Management (MSM) program to be the best suited for myself as a full-time university employee and someone who wanted a well-rounded education to lead me into a marketing career. In January of 2017, I returned to academics while continuing my position with the university.

Public Relations Senior Eugenia Blaubach to speak at CJC recognition ceremony
“As a communicator, my dream is to positively affect the narrative surrounding immigrants,” said University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations senior Eugenia Blaubach.
Born in Venezuela, she came to the U.S. with her parents when she was seven years old. After high school, she wanted to study journalism, but deep down knew she wanted to advocate, not just report. Transferring from Santa Fe Community College to UF exposed her to a world of new options.
It was during a TEDxUF talk by CJC Frank Karel Endowed Chair in Public Interest Communications Ann Christiano that Blaubach realized public relations was a better fit. Christiano piqued her interest in the use of strategic communication to drive positive social change. Since then, Blaubach has been working toward a future where she can marry her skills in strategic communication with a career in public diplomacy.
“Now that the world is more connected than ever, and political tensions are on the rise, we need public diplomacy efforts to encourage dialogue and cooperation between countries,” Blaubach said.
