UF Board of Trustees welcomes new ex-officio members

The University of Florida Board of Trustees has named two ex-officio members to one-year terms. They are Katherine Vogel Anderson, Pharm.D., BCACP, who serves as the current chair of the Faculty Senate, and Ian M. Green, Student Body President.

At the UF College of Pharmacy, Dr. Vogel Anderson serves as an associate professor with the department of pharmacotherapy and translational research, and has a joint appointment in the College of Medicine. She practices at UF Health Internal Medicine at the Medical Plaza. In 2009, she and her husband, Shawn Anderson, established the endowed Vogel Anderson Exceptional Leader Scholarship for third-year pharmacy students.

She graduated with honors from the College of Pharmacy in 2003.

Green is a second-generation Gator from Atlanta, who is pursuing a master’s degree in international business. Prior to being elected Student Body President, he served as the Senate President and worked to expand student services during his tenure as the Budget and Appropriations chair. As a student coming from out of state, Green has promoted an inclusive campus environment for every student. Green is also a member of Florida Blue Key, the Black Student Union, the Florida Cicerones, and is a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
