GENCYBER – (Media advisory) UF kicks off a new and exciting learning opportunity for high school students and teachers this week. GenCyber camps held at the university will expose middle and high school students, as well as teachers, to cyber security and cyber problem solving.

FAT TO BRAIN: It’s been long established that the brain has a direct effect on other parts of the body. Now, a group that includes two UF researchers has discovered that it’s a two-way street, so to speak – a “fat-to-brain” signaling mechanism that originates in fat and affects the brain’s control of stress and metabolism.

Creative B highlights
Creative B, UF’s cross-campus, multi-activity entertainment and educational showcase that coincides with the summer B semester, continues. Among the week’s events are:
Movement Disorders And Neurorestoration: “Robert Cunningham: Out of the Blue,” through August 9 at the Harn Museum of Art’s Chandler Auditorium.

Bringing the past into focus
In conjunction with the Harn Museum of Art’s 25th anniversary celebration, “NEXUS: Experimental Photography in Florida - Uelsmann, Fichter, Prince, Streetman & Walker” takes a look at the long, prosperous careers of five key members of the UF Photography Department faculty during the 1960s and 70s.
