Complimentary eye and heart screening exams for service animals

The University of Florida’s Small Animal Hospital will offer free eye screenings and heart examinations to service animals on May 8 as a part of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists’ National Service Dog Eye Exam event.

Free admission for mothers
On Mother’s Day weekend, May 9 and 10, all moms will be admitted free of charge to the Florida Museum of Natural History’s “A T. rex Named Sue” and Butterfly Rainforest exhibits. They will also receive a 10 percent discount on museum associates memberships. (This is not valid with other offers or discounts.) Third annual stroke conference
UF Health and Shands will host a conference May 8 and 9 to examine the prevention, diagnosis and treatment challenges in complex stroke patients. Friday’s registration, reception and dinner presentation will be held at the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium F-Club. Emerson Alumni Hall will host Saturday’s events.
