PULMONARY PREDICT -- Can an intelligence test taken at age 20 predict whether you’ll have poor lung health later in life? A new study from researchers at UF Health, the University of California and Boston University finds a link between cognitive ability in young people and pulmonary problems later in life.

Wednesday, April 22

NEURAL CELLS -- After transplanting human neural cells into mice, a group of researchers from the molecular genetics department and MBI found that the cells became a functional part of the neuronal network. That means it has significant potential to treat neurological diseases involving abnormal neuronal circuitry – most significantly epilepsy.
