"House of Cards" star Robin Wright to speak at UF

Actress Robin Wright will appear at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Wright, who plays Claire on the popular cable series “House of Cards,” also appeared in Forrest Gump, as well as several other films and TV series. Master lecturer Mike Foley will moderate the conversation.

The event is free and open to the public. Students can pick up tickets at noon Wednesday at the Phillips Center Box Office with their Gator 1 Cards. There is a limit of two tickets per person. Any remaining tickets will be made available to the general public beginning at noon the day of the event. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Wright’s appearance is presented by the UF ACCENT Speaker's Bureau, the largest, student-run, speaker's bureau in the nation.
