Love + Impressionism at the Harn
The Museum Nights at the Harn series presents “Monet and American Impressionism” on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m.Visitors will have an opportunity to create their own valentines and enjoy a tour of the exhibit spoken in French. Hoops tourney to honor a Gator pioneer
In celebration of Black History Month, the University of Florida Inter-fraternity Council will host the inaugural Steve Williams Basketball Tournament from noon to 4 p.m. on Feb. 14 at the Broward Outdoor Recreational Complex. In1970, Williams became the first African-American to receive a scholarship and play for the UF basketball team. A Valentine's Night at the Museum
Hosted by “A T. rex Named Sue,” the Florida Museum of Natural History presents a night of romance and trivia from 6 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 14. Pre-registration is required and available at https://eventbrite.com/event/15387222597/. The event is for adults only (ages 18 years and up).
“Where the girls are the fairest…”
The annual Miss University of Florida Scholarship Pageant gets underway at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The winner will have the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss Florida with hopes of moving on to the Miss America Pageant. UF gearing up for annual Engineers’ Week
Engineers’ Week 2015 is fast approaching. The annual event hosted by the UF College of Engineering will run from February 16–26 and feature an engineering and science fair, engineering fest, leadership forum and SWOT analysis. “E-Week,” as it is also known, kicks off with the Engineering Bowl at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16 in the Reitz Union Auditorium.
