TORTOISES -- Psychology professor Nicole Dorey and her Ph.D. student Lindsay Mehrkam have published a study showing that tortoises, given the opportunity to play with toys or interact with humans, decidedly chose human interaction in several trials. Using their methodology of behavior analysis, Mehrkam and Dorey suggest that aggressive behavior in dogs need to be treated on a case-by-case basis, finding the reason for the aggression is the trick to correcting the behavior.
