LiveVibe TV season opener to provide inside look at video games

November 18, 2014

The fourth season of LiveVibe TV premieres 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 with an episode titled “Opening Minds: People Who Make Video Games” at the University of Florida Digital Worlds Institute’s REVE (Research, Education and Visualization Environment) in Norman Gym.

The season premiere of the lively talk show, which is hosted by Alex Avelino, will feature guests involved in designing, coding and producing serious and educational video games. Veteran video game producer Marko Suvajdzic, owner of Organic to Digital (an award-winning game production company with offices in Europe and the U.S.), will be among those guests.

LiveVibe TV (LVTV) features individuals from the UF community engaged in innovative and interesting interdisciplinary work. Combined with live music and immersive theatrical projections, the LVTV format encourages the audience to participate and ask questions of the guests. “LiveVibe is the perfect union of the arts and the digital realm for a live studio audience,” Avelino said. “I’m anticipating great conversation with experienced video game designers and producers, as well as the
next generation of video game professionals.”

Joining Suvajdzic will be programmer and developer Samuel Sewall, who will discuss what happens “under the hood” in video games, as well as the dynamic design team of Diana Reichenbach and Hyuk Jang.

Limited complimentary seating is available. To reserve a seat in the live studio audience for the LVTV Season 4 opener, please send an email request ASAP with your name and number in your party to: RSVP@digitalworlds.ufl.edu.
