UF celebrates arts, humanities with Pop-Up Culture

Several UF colleges and organizations will host Pop-Up Culture, with events at select locations throughout UF between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 15. Students and community members can experience cultural moments at the Plaza of the Americas, Fine Arts Complex and Southwest Recreation Center. Homecoming parade, Gallop, Growl on Friday

The Gator Gallop, Homecoming parade and Gator Growl will be held Oct. 17 starting with the Gallop at 11:30 a.m., the parade at noon and the Gator Growl at 6 p.m.

Groundbreaking ceremony set for Oct. 23

A groundbreaking ceremony for Infinity Hall will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 23 at the southeast corner of Southwest 10th Street and Southwest Second Avenue. Speakers will include UF President Bernie Machen; Anthony Manna, chair of Signet Enterprises; Mayor Ed Braddy; Norb Dunkel, associate vice president for Student Affairs and Keenen Vernon, president of the Inter-Residence Hall Association. Parking will be available on site.
