Gator Growl brings parking restrictions near Flavet

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Parking will be restricted in several lots near Flavet Field this week because of Gator Growl Friday evening.

The following parking lots adjacent to Flavet Field will be closed and reopen Saturday --

Red one lot south of Keys Residential Complex:
Closed at midnight. Keys residents received more detailed information from Keys staff.

Red lot along Museum Road from Graham/Hume Area to Woodlawn Drive:
The all red section of this lot is closed at 6 p.m. today with no re-entry to lot. Cars must be moved by 5 p.m. Thursday.

The red one section of the lot remains open for red one parkers.  A vehicle parked in a red one space in this lot will not be relocated; however, the vehicle will not be able to leave and come back into the lot until after Growl.

Cars displaying disabled parking permits may continue to use disabled parking spaces in the Red lot along Museum Road from Graham/Hume Area to Woodlawn Drive. 

Woodlawn Drive will be closed Friday
Vehicles parked in red lots along Woodlawn Drive will not be able to move from 4 p.m. to after Gator Growl crowds disperse.

All vehicles not moved from these lots by the dates/times noted above will be moved/towed to another lot.

Vehicle owners should move them by the dates/times noted above to the Cultural Plaza parking lots – the lots near the Phillips Center, Florida Museum of Natural History and the Harn Museum of Art. Please plan to use the RTS bus system or SNAP services from this area back to campus. Cars displaying disabled parking permits may continue to use disabled parking spaces in the red lot along Museum Road from Graham/Hume Area to Woodlawn Drive.
