Cornell University provost Kent Fuchs named UF's next president

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Kent Fuchs, provost of Cornell University, was named the 12^th president of the University of Florida today by the UF Board of Trustees.

A news conference is scheduled at Emerson Alumni Hall immediately. The news conference also will be available via satellite when the news conference begins, but lines will open at 11:15 a.m. EDT and close at 12:45 EDT or at the close of the news conference.
