GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The following events are scheduled in the near future at the University of Florida:

‘Moving Water’ mural to be dedicated

A ritualistic installation and dedication of a new public art piece will be held at 2 p.m. July 30, starting at Library West and ending at the Computer Science & Engineering Building. “Moving Water” by Miami artist Xavier Cortada is a 32-foot-long ceramic tile mural that depicts “scarred water,” water as it flows in spaces carved for it across Panama and Florida. Attendees will carry water from various sources in vessels in a procession accompanied by carillon music.
