Sections of O’Connell parking lot restricted on April 4

April 4, 2014

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Sections of the University of Florida’s O’Connell Center parking lot normally open to students and employees will be restricted on Friday, April 4.

The first bay of spaces in the northeast corner of the lot (next to the Gale Lemerand Drive/University Avenue intersection) will be reserved until noon for multiple events taking place at Emerson Hall during the day. About 50 spaces in the northwest corner of the lot (next to SW 2nd Avenue) will be reserved all day for an event taking place at the President’s House.

Decal holders who normally park in these areas may need to seek alternate parking during this period. Additional shared red/green parking (open to orange decal holders as well) has been created on the top level of Garage 5, located just south of the Gale Lemerand and Museum Road intersection, to help alleviate O’Connell Center event parking issues.
