New program provides prerequisite courses for health professional schools

February 19, 2014

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida is starting a new full-time program designed for students who have a bachelor’s degree, but have not completed the prerequisite courses necessary to apply to health professional graduate programs such as medical or dental school.

Students in the Pre-Health Post-Baccalaureate Program will have the support of pre-health advisors throughout the program including pre-health seminars to assist them in becoming competitive applicants.

Interested students are invited to attend one of the information sessions to gain a better understanding of the program and have their questions answered. They will be held at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and March 12 in Farrior Hall, Room 200.

To register, go to the Academic Advising Center’s Workshop Registration page, select the “Pre-Health” Workshop Area, and register for the session you plan to attend. Classes begin Aug. 25.
