GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Friends of Theatre and Dance and the Friends of Music at the University of Florida will host “Splendor: New York Nights,” a benefit supporting the academic performing arts programs at the College of Fine Arts, on March 29.

This year’s event, a Keith Watson Events production, will take place in the Nadine McGuire Theatre and Dance Pavilion and promises to bring a taste of New York to Gainesville.

Highlights include catering by Dean Cacciatore, a special performance by Metropolitan Opera Baritone and UF Outstanding Young Alumnus Nicholas Pallesen, many other student performances, live music by the UF Jazz Band, dancing, a full-service bar and a silent auction.

There are two ticket packages available. The Metropolitan Package is $40 and invites guests to enjoy the student/alumni performance in Constans Theatre at 8 p.m. and the after-party with dance music provided by the UF Jazz Band.
