UFPA to host annual fundraising gala Jan. 25

December 16, 2013

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida Performing Arts hosts its annual fundraising gala – “An Evening in Tuscany” – from 6 to 11 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts.

The annual event is UFPA’s largest fundraiser of the year and helps fund all of its programs, including outreach. Music, dancing, a silent auction and much more will make for a memorable evening with an old-world Italian village theme.

This year’s gala earned the highest level of certification from the UF Office of Sustainability because of the steps taken by UFPA to minimize the event’s negative impact on the environment.

Tickets for “An Evening in Tuscany” are $200 per person and can be purchased by calling 352-273-2480 or visiting www.performingarts.ufl.edu/gala/.

For $300, patrons can receive a gala ticket and become a Club Member, which provides access to the exclusive “Primo Piatto” (Jan. 17), where they will learn how to make pastas, sauces and desserts.

Butler Plaza is the presenting sponsor for the gala; signature cocktails and a gourmet dinner will be provided by Blue Water Bay; and decorations will be supplied by Keith Watson Events.

Sponsorship opportunities for the gala are also available.

UFPA, a not-for-profit organization, was named 2011 Best Overall Small Business at the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Awards.
