RTS announces changes in service due to break, holidays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — RTS service will be affected between Dec. 16 and Jan. 2 because of the collegiate winter breaks and the holiday season.

Dec. 16-Jan. 2

RTS will provide reduced service on City Fixed Routes 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 23, 34, 35, 36 and 43. An “R” on RTS Route Schedules indicates buses that run whenever RTS reduces service on a route. There will be no service on City Fixed Routes 21, 27, 28, 38, 39, 41, 46, 62 and 76. There are no changes in service on remaining City Fixed Routes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 15, 24, 25 and 75, which will follow their normal schedules.

There will not be any campus or Later Gator service, however paratransit service will run as usual.

Dec. 24

RTS will be running its normal Sunday service this day. Only Routes 1, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 20, 25 and 35 will be running. Paratransit service will run as usual on a Sunday (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.). There will be no campus or Later Gator service.

Dec. 25

No bus or paratransit service in observation of Christmas.

Jan. 1

No bus or paratransit service in observation of New Year’s Day.

Santa Fe affiliated routes 27, 39, 62, 76 and 77 will be in reduced service until Jan. 6. All other routes will begin their normal spring schedule on Jan. 2.
