Community Alcohol Coalition meets Monday in Emerson Alumni Hall

WHAT: The Community Alcohol Coalition is composed of representatives from the University of Florida, Santa Fe College and local law enforcement agencies who seek ways to reduce excessive and underage drinking in the community.

WHO: University of Florida President Bernie Machen will welcome members for a roundtable discussion. Presentations about alcohol research and use will be given by Adam Barry, UF department of health education and behavior; Maureen Miller, UF Gatorwell Health Promotion Services; Lt. Brian Helmerson, Gainesville Police Department; and Joan Scully, UF Counseling & Wellness Center.

WHEN: Nov. 18, 10 a.m. to noon
