October 23, 2013

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida Information Technology Awards and Recognitions Program seeks to recognize teams whose members bring out the best in each other, serve customers with distinction, and honor those who work  behind the scenes to keep university systems running.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 15.

Anyone, regardless of academic or administrative department, may nominate deserving teams. A team is defined as staff who worked on an IT project (project team may have both IT and non-IT staff), working together to resolve a technical issue or improve an administrative or business process, or a group, unit, or department that exemplifies the following characteristics:

  •     Bringing out the Best: Collaboration, Innovation and Everyday Leadership Throughout UFIT
  •     Serving the Client: Providing Consistent and Exceptional Service
  •     Unsung Heroes: Working Behind the Scenes

All awards categories are team categories. Nominations for individuals will not be considered. The selection committee will evaluate team nominees based on work performed during the eligibility period of July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013, and how the outcomes achieved contributed to the university’s IT goals and core values during the eligibility period.
