GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Here are the releases the University of Florida’s media relations office expects to send next week, subject to change:

Monday, Oct. 21
PELVIC PAIN (delayed from last week) – College-age women frequently ignore pelvic pain because they simply don’t know what is normal and what’s not. A new UF study gives these women guidelines on what they should pay attention to and talk to their doctors about.

CALORIE NEEDS — Adults generally do not know how many calories they should consume daily to maintain their current weight, a University of Florida survey shows. Researchers surveyed 978 people of varying heights and weights from a cross-section of demographic groups, mostly on the UF campus. The survey found that people of all body mass indexes underestimate their daily energy requirements.
