GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida Performing Arts’ November offerings span a vast array of genres, highlighted by the “kings of swing,” Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (Nov. 4), and a cappella group Straight No Chaser (Nov. 22), fresh off the release of its hit album “Under the Influence.”

Other November presentations include mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile (Nov. 1, University Auditorium); folk trio Red Molly (Nov. 3, Squitieri Studio Theatre); violinist Benjamin Beilman from Young Concert Artists (Nov. 7, Squitieri Studio Theatre); and the inspirational New Directions Veterans Choir (Nov. 10, University Auditorium), which includes formerly homeless U.S. military veterans, singing songs of hope and redemption.
