UF/IFAS Agronomy-Soils club roasted peanut sale begins

September 27, 2013

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — If you’re feeling a little snacky this fall, University of Florida agronomy students can help.

The UF Agronomy-Soils club has begun its annual roasted peanut sales and you can buy them three ways:

Order them online by emailing agronomygrads@gmail.com; buy them in person outside McCarty Hall A, two hours before every home football game until halftime ends, or in person at McCarty Hall A, every Friday during football season from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The 2-pound cans cost $7 each and come in two flavors: roasted and salted, or roasted and salted with honey. Buying six or more cans costs $6 per can. The peanuts can be shipped anywhere in the continental U.S. for a fee.  In-person buyers at McCarty may pay with cash, checks, debit or credit cards.

The peanut sale is the student group’s biggest annual fundraiser.
