GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Here are the releases the University of Florida’s media relations office expects to send next week, subject to change:

Monday, Sept. 23
FOSSIL CRUSTACEANS — Many crustaceans went extinct following a massive collapse of reefs across the planet 150 million years ago — and new University of Florida research shows modern species living in rapidly declining reef habitats may now be at risk.

Wednesday, Sept. 25
CITRUS ROOTSTOCK — University of Florida researchers have some encouraging results in the battle against citrus greening. They have identified citrus cultivars, in this case 16 citrus rootstocks, which show a lower rate of infection and better response to citrus greening – the dreaded disease that has wreaked havoc through Florida’s citrus industry since its arrival in the state in 2005.
