PET POISONING – When a puppy or dog falls ill and mushroom poisoning is suspected, University of Florida mycologist Matt Smith is sometimes called in to identify suspected fungi samples. Now, with spring rainfall and sunshine bringing up the common and toxic Chlorophyllum molybdites mushroom in grassy areas, Smith has some advice on keeping pets safe.
