Tickets still available for Gator Growl 2012 with focus on veterans' efforts

GAINESVILLE — Gator Growl 2012, one of the University of Florida’s oldest and most storied traditions, is only a few days away and tickets are still available.

Gator Growl begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. This year’s event will feature performances by country superstar Josh Turner and Emmy-nominated comedian and actor Tracy Morgan. It will be hosted by 12-time Olympic medalist Dara Torres.

The show also will feature the Para-Commandos skydiving team, UF senior football players, the UF Gator Marching Band, the UF cheerleaders and the Dazzlers. Gator Growl will also feature the UF faculty band In Crisis.

This year’s event focuses on the efforts of our nation’s veterans and will support wounded veterans through a partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project. Anyone interested can sponsor a veteran to attend this year’s show at http://gatorgrowl.org/buy-tickets for $25.
