UF Symphonic Band presents London-themed concert

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida College of Fine Arts School of Music will present a London-themed concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The concert in the University Auditorium will feature the University of Florida Symphonic Band under the musical direction of John M. Watkins Jr. Guest conducting appearances will be made by Kim Eberly and Stephen Salem.

The program consists of Gustav Holst’s Moorside March from “Moorside Suite,” Richard Wagner’s “Trauermusik,” Leonard Bernstein’s “Slava!,” Claude T. Smith’s “Eternal Father Strong to Save,” Davide Delle Cese’s “Inglesina, The Little English Girl,” Mark Camphouse’s “Three London Miniatures” and John Mackey’s “Aurora Awakes.”
